They came from a Galaxy far, far away and landed at my local Disney Store and in my heart. This collection of Tsum Tsums is top notch. The high quality of the set stands out with their attention to detail, little surprises, and lovely embroidery work.
You can truly see the attention to and amount of detail on the Boba Fett Tsum Tsum. This little bounty hunter is obviously prepared to take on any assignment Jabba the Hutt gives him. Jabba’s shape lends himself to Tsum Tsums, but once again it’s the small things that sell the character. There’s even a touch of drool coming from his mouth. Disgustingly cute!
Judge me by my size, will you? Small but mighty, make sure you take a closer look at Yoda. If you pull back his hood, you’ll see little tufts of white hair behind his ears.
Yoda’s not the only one with hidden details. Darth Vader can’t hide all his secrets, under his robe there’s some nice design elements. His faithful Storm Trooper is a beautiful example of the nice embroidery work.
Our heroes: Leia, Luke and Hans each capture the personality of their characters. Leia’s icon hairstyle works particularly well on her Tsum Tsum, and I love her pink cheeks. If you look closely, you’ll notice that Luke is ever ready with his blue lightsaber.
The fabric on R2D2 and C3PO is one I haven’t seen on any of the Tsum Tsums that I have. The shiny material captures the essence of the droids and sets them apart from the others.
My favorites are Wicket and Chewbacca. They both have wonderful facial expressions and practically demand to be cuddled. I don’t know if it’s a fluke, but my Wicket is slightly smaller than the other Tsum Tsums in my set, which is exactly how it should be.
Overall, I am thrilled with the quality of this collection, and my husband was very impressed with how our Disney Store handled Tsum Tsum Tuesday. He arrived thirty minutes prior to opening and there were about 50 people ahead of him. The Cast Members kept people well informed before they opened, which they did about fifteen minutes early. Every Cast Member was friendly and efficient and Jeff had our Tsum Tsums purchased within thirty minutes. If you are on the fence about this collection, I would highly recommend it.
