Tsum Tsum Tuesday came in full force with the second Star Wars collection featuring characters from The Phantom Menace. The crowd at the Disney Store was actually the smallest I’ve seen since I’ve been going to the Disney Store at open on Tsum Tsum Tuesdays. Much like the first set of Star Wars Tsum Tsums, this collection is high quality with a lot of attention to detail.
The young Anakin Skywalker Tsum Tsum has all the bright eyed enthusiasm of his character in the movie. He’s dressed in his podracing attire, including googles which emphasize his youthful appearance.
Queen Amidala is the squishiest of the bunch, and of course, the most regal. Her head dress makes her stand out from other Tsum Tsums and her dress has nice minimalist details.
The Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn and his padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi show their status by their facial expressions. Qui-Gon Jinn has a stern look on his face, though his little mustache does crack me up. The younger Obi-Wan Kenobi has a more open expression as shown by his raised eyebrows, and soft messy hair. Both are ready to go with their light sabers by their sides.
The nefarious podracing Sebulba is also ready to go with his goggles and helmet. One of my favorite touches is the tentacle like appendages that flank his nose.
The Jar Jar Binks Tsum Tsum really is cute. His protruding eyes and floppy ears frame a face that has some nice embroidered work.
Though he is evil, my favorite Tsum Tsum of the group is Darth Maul. His cloak has his light saber at the ready, and if you pull it back, you can see the spikes that detail his head.
Once again, this Star Wars series has great details and quality workmanship. Make sure to add these to your collection by picking them up at the Disney Store, or online at www.disneystore.com.
